i think they should have not pranked 2nd sister because she could prank them back and o bet they would not be happy. ReplyDeleteThey are both very tricky but both very diffrent they are diffrent because in mariah keeps cool they are planning a party a surprise party and in Yang the Second they are helping yang make friend with paul Eng and they turn out to be dateing and in mariah keeps cool the surprise party goes well so they both have their ups and downs and they can be alike too >
ReplyDeleteOne thing that is alike is that they both did it on purpose. Another thing that is differnt is that in Mariah Keeps Cool Mariah didn't have a plan thought out and in Yang The Second they did. Something that is alike it that in the end both of their plans worked out.

I think the tricks are alike because Lynn and second sister both don't know that is going to happen to them.Like in the book,"Lynn looked stunned, truly surprised."That showed that Lynn had no clue that it was happening.I also thought they were different because Lynn was being surprised and second sister was being tricked on.
ReplyDeleteBoth of the stories are alike because they both keep their plans a secret, and the plan almost douesn't work for either of them, like Lynn almost caught them making the decorations, and they thought Paul already had a girlfriend,"It seemed that we had been wasting our time, Paul already had a girlfriend!". But, they are different because mariah was planning a party, and Yingtao tries to get Second Sister and Paul together. Thank you!

But mariah was tricking her sister about her suprise party with lynn's friends. So that means the are different because one was tricking with friends and one without."In china she had lots of friends, she would be sitting with them, talking and laughing."

The diffrences are that Mariah threre a surprise party and Yingtao plays the trick on second sister so she can meet a friend.But their plans both sucseeded. here's an example from Yang the Second and her Secret edmirers."By the next day I was begging to have second thoughts about our plot. It could turn out to be really embarrasing for Second Sister." They thought that the plan could end in disastar but it didn't.

Yingtao plays a trick on second sister about a boy who likes second sister. Mariah plays a trick on Lynn for her birthday,Lynn says that she didnt want a birthday party but she got one."Hi Paul,I said weakly."Meaning she was shocked to see him there and she didnt know what to say in front of him.

ReplyDeleteThe trickery is alike becasue both keep a secret with and from some being. For example in "Mariah Keeps Cool", Mariah keeps the suprise party away from Lynn's knowing. And in "Yang the Second and her Secret Admirrers", Third Sister and Forth Brother try to make Second Sister friends with Paul Eng. It says right here in the story, "As the oldest daughter in her family, Second Sister clings to her Chinise heritage and refuses to make any friends." See? The reason that the sisters are being so secret is to make Second Sister have at least one friend, because one friend is alot different from no friends (kid).

Therefore they are the same but they do it for do it for different reasons.Such as in Mariah Keeps Cool they play a trick on Lynn to throgh a surprize birthday party. And in Yang the Second Sisters and her Secret Admirers they play a trick to get Yang a boy friend.

ReplyDeleteSomething that is alike is that they were trying to do something nice for their sister. Another thing is that Mariah or Yingtao didn't know about the trick they were playing on them. A difference is that Mariah was throughing a suprise party and Yingtao was trying to set Second sister up with a guy. Another difference is that MAriah was doing something for her younger sister and Yintao was doing something for her older sister. " Third sister,Kim,and I went to elementary school,while Paul went to the same high school and second sister."

They are different because Mariah was planning a party for Lynn. Yingtao was planning for Second Sister to be asked on a date. ReplyDeleteThe two stories are different because In Mariah Keeps Cool, Lynn finds out that she was misleaded. But, in Yang the Second, Paul and Second Sister don't find out that Yingto's words were acts. They are alike because Mariah and Yingto both kept the secret from thier sisters. Thus, Yingto and Mariah both work extremely hard to complete thier missions. I can tell that Mariah worked hard from this quote,"In Brandon's room, they were all busy cutting colorful paper petals and clipping thin wire, wrapping it with green paper stems.

the reson they are alike is the both played tricks on Lynn and Second Sister and they both didnt ell either one about their plan.Like in Mariha Keeps Cool she was trying to plan surprise 4 Lynn. Another example was In the story Yang The Second, Yingto was trying to set Second Sister on a date with Paul and Second Sister wasnt to intrested in Paul.Although they werent alike because the surprise that Mariha prepared was a little bit nicer than setting up Second Sister on a date with Paul."We did it! Our trick worked."

ReplyDeleteBoth tricks in Yang the Second and Mariah Keeps Cool are alike because they were trying to help the person they were tricking, they both tricked girls, and they dident have to hurt someones fellings during the prosses. They are diffrent because third sister and eldest brother were trying to help Yang get frends and in Mariah Keeps Cool Mariah had to trick Lynn so they can get her to have a party WITH freinds. Heres a quote from page 395 when third sister though tricking second sister might be mean. "She looked so unhappy sometimes i thought it would be maen playing a trick on her."
