  1. I think Katie was wrong because she could have gotten hurt."In the book katie ran to her house and looked at all of her stuff and then she saw horses outside her window she hid in her moms wedding trunk and the rebels went in her house they were looking for money and dressesthey opened the trunk".

  2. I think Katie was wrong because she couldent bring enything into the wilderness or she couldent "save" enything in the house. If she did get enything it would have gotten eaten, stolen, or even lost. Another reson is she could have gotten hurt from the rebels or she cold have gotten kidnaped. But also if John Warren dident save her or tell the solders to go out that would be bad."The ruslting drowned their words another dress went, then a hand touched me.Page 302"

  4. I think what katie did was wrong because she could have gotten hurt or what if they were going to take the trunk and find her.or what if she ran out of air.

  5. I think that katie was wrong because she should have stayed with her family. I don't think that she was thinking when she ran into the house. I think that she came to her senses when she came into the house and realized that it was the wrong idea that she had. "I felt like an animal in a trap. And suddenly I was so mad I could not still myself. I raced for the house"

  6. i think katie was wrong beacuse she could of got hurt and her fammily could worry about her.she was luckky enough that they didnt take the trunk and John Warren came 2 get her out of there."It's not bad, dear ones ,just a skirmish."No ones hurtthat I can see."

  7. I think katie was both right and wrong because, she was right to run back into her house because she loved her house and she didn't want anyone to take anything but i also think it was wrong because she could of got hurt and who would know what they do with her." I suddenly got mad at myself so I raced back to my house."

  9. What I belive is that Katie was right to run back into her house, but I also belive that it required a little more thinking and planning out her route and her escape channel and things in that nature. Also, she could've gotten injured or captured by the rebels. So, all in all, She was right in some places and wrong in some places. The rebels also were foolish not to look harder in Katie's mother's wedding trunk because they might've found Katie and captured her. But I think that Katie was very lucky to not have been found and captured, right? I think so. Here's an example from Katie's Trunk (written by: Ron Himler) on page 301, where it says, "The rustlings drowned their words, another dress went and a hand toched me. I wanted to bite it, to make him jump and shout, but I stilled myself. Maybe he didn't know. Suddenly, someone shouted, "Out! The Tories are coming. Back to the road! Hurry!" He did not close the lid, and footsteps sounded out the door. Suddenly quiet. My heart beat loud as the horses galloping down the road. Quiet as quiet, I crept to the window and looked out. No One. Puffs of smoke far down in the green. A horse thudding past, riderless; someones hat blowing by in the gusty mind." So, all in all, I think that Katie was right to escape from her hiding place, but she needed to think about it a little longer than she did (which was no time at all).

  10. I think it was right for Katie to run back to the house because she was trying to protect the house and all the stuff her family owned. " I would not let John Warren and Ruben Otis hurt our house and things" But I also think it was wrong of her because she could have gotten hurt.

  11. I think it was wrong for Katie to go in her house because she could have got caught or run out of air. It was really useless for her to go in there to protect her house because she probably wouldn't have stopped them from taking things. Also because Jhon Warren found her and if he wouldn't have been good he would have caught her and he would have told the other rebels and she would ahve gotten hurt. She was lucky because if jhon wouldn't have turned good she would have run out of breath and he wouldn't have left the lid open for her to breath and not die. " I suddenly got mad at myself so I raced back to my house."

  12. I think katie was wroung to run into her house when the rebles were comming because she could have died. Her mother and father were proble very woried. She is lucky because "john warren told them the tory's were comming" but it was a lie. I think Katie decerves a five minute wipping.

  13. I think it was rite for Katie to run back to the house or else the rebles would have robed the house. "I will NOT let them hurt our house"

  14. I think it was right for Katie to run back in her house because John Warren touched her. And if he did not touch her they probally would of taken. " The rustling drowned their words, another dress went, and a hand touched me."

  15. i think that it was right of katie to go back inside the house becouse if john warren didnt felt katie they would of stole something."I would not let john warren and otis ruben hurt our house and things".

  16. I think Katie was wrong and right by going back to her house. She was wrong because she could have gotten hurt or killed. She was right because she shouldn't let those rebels charge into their house and smashit and stealeverything. Here is a quote from the story,"And suddenly I was so mad I could not still myself."

  17. I think no because she could have got hurt or got tooken by the men that were there.I also think yes it was a good thing she went back because when she hid in the trunk, when the man felt her he knew it was her so he made sure she or her house didnt get hurt."Lets go the torys are coming back."

  18. I think it was right for her to go back to her house to protect."Inside our parlor, I touched each thing I loved.

  19. I think it was good she ran back because if she hadn't been in the trunk, then John Warren wouldn't have touched her. If he hadn't touched her then the Rebels would have taken all the money and dresses. Like in the story John Warren touches Katie then shouts,"The Tory's are coming, let's go."

  20. I think it was right for Katie to run home. I think so because it was her house and it wasn't the rebels right to just break into their house. If Katie didn't run back home and John Warren didn't touch her, the rebels would of stayed and stolen or broken everything. The rustling drowned their words, another dress went, and a hand touched me."

  21. I think Katie was right to turn back. The rebles didn't have a good reason to break in to her house. They just bargedin and broke the knocker! "They paused at the front step and ripped the knocker off the wood."

  22. I think Katie was wrong to go back to her house because if the rebels found her in the box they could of took her.I think she should of told the rebels to go away, but she didn't."I ran into Mama and Papa's room, to find a place to hide."

  23. i think that it was right that katie went back to the house to save all of there stuff. "Inside the parlor, I touched eachthing that I loved:Mama's pineapple teapot, the silver tray, shining like a moon, the pictures of all our kin ranged acrossthe wll-home."

  24. I think Katie was wrong and right. I think Katie was wrong because she could have gotten killed or kidnaped by the rebels and if John Warren didn't touch Katie he would have never told the other rebels to go away. I think she was right because she was trying to protect her house. "I would not let John warren and Reuben Otis hurt our house and things."

  25. I think katie was wrong to go back to the house becuase she could been killed by the rebels. "Then i heard voicesby the door Reuben Otis, Gohn Warren,Harold Smith and others, not our neighbors."
