Reread page 665. Sam says that he has never experienced a "more real" Halloween night. Use a "quote" from the story as an example and explain what he means by this in 4 sentences or more.
I think that what he meant by that was alot of little things happened during the party the he thought was important like the fox fighting the other animals and just little things like that. " A bat winged in from the darkness and circled the tallow candle. it was Halloween and the goblins were at work."
He thinks that because there are bats and bats are a part of halloween.Also it was like trick or treat because for the trick a skunk lonched a dreadfull smell into his face.Then for the treat animals were stealing his food."It was halloween and goblins were at work".
He trying to say that he was scared by what the animals were going to do if he dint scare them away. that our that the animals played a trick that he dint supect coming.he was really scared so it was a halloween he will never forget"I have never experienced a more real halloween night
What he ment by that was that he was scared. You know, when something scares YOU and you think about it. This is was happened to Sam Gribley. Here's a quote from the story, "It was Halloween and the doblins were at work."
"A bat winged in from the darkness and circled the tallow candle.It was Halloween and the goblins were at work."This quote ment that all the animals were at acting weird and crazy so Sam says they goblins at work.Also when he said at work he meant that they were destroying all his stuff and the racoons were ruining his food that was saved in his house.
I think he meant that a lot of crazy things happened at the party.He also meant that there was a lot of action."IT was a shunk!"that was in his house.A lot of animals he didnt expect came.
He Says that because he heard screaming coming from his house. The fox had red eyes. Their were alot of animals surrounding him. Sam scared them off and looked back and saw red eyes. " The red eyes scared me."
i think he means that was the best halloween he ever had because he was with the animals and he got to see animals that he has never seen before. and he also might not like the regular halloween.for example "in the story he said he likes animals more than people".
In the story it says that the racoons were feeling like they were at home and they snached up beechnuts. all of that had awakednd frightful. "she grabed me so hard i yelled"! After that he said no more notes on halloween.

I think that he will be able. to live there because he has animals to. pertect him and his little baby sister and. they could make a house with there .clay they made.
It means that it was probably a night that was most like what Halloween was supposed to be like. They had a Halloween party in the night. The way Sam had explained it and ended it made it seem a little more as a scary situation than an exciting one. Here is a quote to support my answer,"Some looked back and their eyes glowed." To me, glowing eyes is a pretty scary thought.
Sam had a tough night. Frightful grabbed Sam so hard that he was bledding, a skunk sprayed him, and a fox was laughing at him. Even though he was "smelling to the sky, bleeding in the hand, and robbed of patrt of his hard-won food" he learned something. Might is right. The racoon taught him that. He used it, it worked.
I think sam said that because he's in a SCARY forset all ALONE at NIGHT and there is WILD ANIMLES right there with him and can ATTACK him at eny point with BATS flying around.I think it would be scary if I was in that situation and so would lots of people."A bat winged in from the darknees and circled the tallow candle. Goblins on halloween night and the animals on halloween night. Also, it was probably scary like halloween. Everything was dark and he could barely see anything while "Goblins" were messing his house up.

"i chased the racoons into the night and stumbled over a third animal and was struck by a stinging spray. it was a skunk! i was drenched. as i got used to the indignity and the smell, i saw the racoons convert around my fire place and were back in the house before i could stop them."

In my side of the mountain it says Sam has never had a "more real Halloween". I think this means that this Halloween is the most frightningest, but happy Halloween party Sam has ever really had. He learns that "might is right." and scares off all his now unwanted viseters like big, red eyed racoons, squirels, and the laughing red fox.

Sam thought that only a couple animals would come. Like in the story Sam said," I slowly woke up to the sound of a screaming animal. As I got up I slipped on acorns, they had broken into my cache."
